So far my sound system is the most modded factor of my car. I have Pioneer 5.25's and Pioneer 6x9's both custom mounted. I have a Kenwood 10 disc CD changer in the trunk custom mounted. I have a Kenwood head in unit with a tape player.
My subs are in a fully custom built enclosure that keeps them sealed in boxes but allows them to fire in the cabin. I tore out the rear deck and replaced it with a 3/4" piece of plywood with insulation between the metal frame and the plywood. It is bolted in place and carpeted. The boxes for each 10" subs hang down from the rear deck in the trunk.
They are also custom covered to match the trunk. My amp is mounted behind the boxes. It is a Pioneer 2 channel amp that pushes out roughly 150 watts RMS to each of my Audiobahn subs. The power lead to the amp is two 8 gauge wires wired in parallel.
Three red neon sticks accent my trunk. This setup definitly turns heads and sounds awesome in the inside but is fairly quite from the outside. At 125 dbs inside the outside sound level is around 96dbs.
